plough - that's a good question. If I could answer it I'd probably be on the board! ;-) I think the diversification they've undertaken is where the extra revenue will come from for a while. There are 2 fronts where this is occurring. First a bunch of new Vendors which came from the ED acquisition (plus a few extras they've signed as well). A consumer brand like fitbit helps them tap into that market a bit more which also aids in smoothing the revenue throughout the year (well more correctly increasing the revenue in H2 rather than just having the huge EOFY buying in H1 and nothing to compensate in H2). Secondly is the Cloud MarketPlace. That will take a while to get right so I can't see them making any other major changes for a while. So I think they are doing the right thing there by expanding their offerings while sticking within their distribution speciality.
Of course there are other possible revenue streams but most would require them to stray from their distribution roots. I doubt they'll do that. However, I could certainly see some possibilities in other acquisitions. I think an acquisition of a phone accessories distributor (high margins) would go well. This adds more diversification while sticking within the distribution channel. They wouldn't even need to integrate it into the Dicker business. I can think of a certain listed entity which has traditionally suffered from poor management. I reckon David could work wonders with it. I think they'll take things pretty slowly though. ED has just gotten fully-integrated so they probably won't want to rock the boat too much for a while. His next job is to get the NZ operation up to standard. There is certainly more growth to be had there as they introduce new Vendors into the NZ market.
