You buy off the SPP before the 21st August. But they are not allotted to you until the 31st meaning you don't actually own the shares until then. So why would they pay you a dividend on shares you don't hold or shares you receive after 28th August, which is the ex-div date :) ??
The only risk you have is that you buy 10 days prior at the discounted SPP and hope the buy offers are not <$1.75 this coming Monday
If you want the Divs then don't buy off the SPP and buy before the Friday end of trade
