yeah sure goblin, we had one our best days on the ASX in ages, including all telcos that went up heaps, but the elusive exceptions were the VOC/ MTU merger., if you look at the daily graph of MTU, it was actually trending downwards towards close of trade, and VOC was just treading water.
that in itself is a very bad sign .
the merger with VOC is the problem, as Ammcom was at least on the same 'wavelength" as VOC.
but MTU are just renters of "internet ".
this is totally detrimental to the business model of VOC, so my call is this- the sp of VOC will decline, albeit slowly , but steadily, dragging down the sp of MTU to $9 sp.
if and when the merger eventuates, you will see a correction of about 50 cents to VOC, which will translate to a lot more for MTU.
