Fair enough questions im sure many others may have had similar thoughts when they first came across SYT as it takes a bit to get your head around the business model but i would also ask you to have look at the below points then see if you still feel the same way..
Firstly..
If GG & RA have spent the past few years building and perfecting their CSP and Freeway /Dataflex without getting paid seems like a lot of effort and work for a scam, there would be easier ways out there.
Remember they have a lot more to loose with the number of shares they own not too mention their reputations which so far are exemplary.
Looking at the board of directors and advisors and their past achievements, also with Steve and Chris coming on board for no pay and around 1.3 million shares PA each shows they must think it has a lot of potential. They would know a lot more than you or i as they have seen the company from the inside and with their industry knowledge and contacts i doubt they would even get out of bed for the cash equivalent of what those shares are worth currently..
We have deals with the likes of TATA, Verizon, AT&T etc- these companies would have done their due diligence before getting involved and if SYT wasnt all it says is i very much doubt they would have got involved..
They picked the ASX for its proximity to SE Asia which is a large part of their target market due to the high cost of data relative to wages and the high number of pre paid plans- also because its a lot easier and cheaper than listing in the states and it gives them more credibility being a listed company.
Now there are im sure many other reasons which i have not listed that could put your mind at ease and other posters would be able to contribute..
Lastly i would say why not?
Why cant we have stumbled across a company that has the potential to be the next Google/ Amazon or Netflix of their industry? ( a industry who's time has come just look at what is happening with Direct TV, Netflix and everyone living on their smart phones etc etc)..
Remember there are people out there who invested in Amazon or google when they first listed too and if they have held im pretty sure they would be smiling ( kinda like the GG grin)..
i have the opposite problem, i have to force my self not to buy more shares as my position is already way too big for my portfolio...
all i can say is when the rest of the market wakes up and catches onto what we have it is going to be exciting to watch the SP take off..
