I've been observing the trading for a while on AXP. Yesterday, there was a large crossing at $1.15. This would have been between big players. I'm also seeing a large sell order, e.g. 40,000 at $1.245 sitting there for a week or more.
It is unusual trading, imo. Could be a longer term holder trying to take some profits, but it seems buying is also from a larger player. Some of the trading seems quite quite amateurish and is having an effect of suppressing the SP, e.g. 40,000 sell order. Otherwise, it could be deliberately suppressed to allow a larger player to accumulate.
All speculation, but it is very usual trading post FDA approval. I don't think a CR (if that happens) will be large or overly discounted. I don't think that is the reason for the current share price action.
