Whether you can include the Cuadrilla and Bowland holdings in the balance sheet or not, the market will assign it a value in the share price. Jeremy Corbin's rise in the polls is the major danger here. IMO Kerogen have pressured AJL to raise money now in the hope that the retail component will help them get some of their money back. As I have said before, raising cash after the UK election would have been a better option.....for everyone except Kerogen.
