You're absolutely right.
When investing into stocks in general one must be prepared to be patient. Even with faster moving markets, like FX you need patience.
Looking at some of the trades I made when I was starting out in this game a few years back - if only I had the patience to hold for just a few months longer - I would have been in a much better position than now, and in many cases avoided the losses on positions I decided to close based only on emotions.
