"All else being equal, invest in the company with the fewest color photographs in the annual report. Companies that feel the need to put on a good face for shareholders by using fancy pictures and interactive features in their annual reports might be trying to cover up deteriorating operations. (Enron's 1999 annual report, for example, was colorful.) Not always the case, of course, but something to bear in mind"
