My experience is that chatrooms like Hotcopper don't help me with my investing/trading.
What works for me is trading in trending shares, buy after they tick up after a couple of down days and set a trailing stop to lock any profits in as quick as possible. Only trade when the Dow was up overnight and the All Ords is going up. Examples this week:
RMS 1,000 1.130 $1,130.00 1.2920 $1,292.00 1 TCL 1,000 14.920 $14,920.00 14.9800 $14,980.00 2 JLG 1,000 1.470 $1,470.00 1.780 $1,780.00 3 PTB 1,000 0.680 $680.00 0.7150 $715.00 4 SYD 1,000 8.130 $8,130.00 8.4550 $8,455.00 5 SHL 1,000 28.610 $28,610.00 29.4700 $29,470.00 6 AIA 1,000 8.830 $8,830.00 8.8800 $8,880.00 7 ASB 1,000 3.695 $3,695.00 4.1500 $4,150.00 8 GMG 1,000 14.580 $14,580.00 14.5400 $14,540.00
Please note this is not advice, just my personal experience. This archie barchie on these chatrooms does not help me.
