Don't know where they pulled 550mt for 2017 as the market size when the FDA themselves say zinc oxide in 2016 was a primary estimate of 186 million ounces of zinc oxide as an active ingredient (5,250mt) with potentially up to 7200mt in the upper band of estimates.
The FDA estimate is based on combined information from FDA drug registration and listing data with InformationResources, Incorporated (IRI) retail sales scanner data, Euromonitor sales data.
Don't know where they pulled 550mt for 2017 as the market size...
