Not sure anyone has been around in the market long enough to remember Biota, a pioneer of antiviral flu drugs. It's FDA application at the time was said to have been held up by vested American interests. I have a growing suspicion that GSS might have unfortunately run into a similar situation. There are no other reasons I can think of for this inexplicable delay of FDA's EUA approval for the GSS kit. Someone with more industry intelligence might be able to figure it out.
