I agree, it’s distasteful thinking about what is necessary to close out the study OS (overall survival) because we are talking about people’s lives, but the longer the better & we must be grateful to patients who agree to go on clinical trials, because without them, no advances in treatment.

Even though we talk in numbers, & visualise them on graphs, these are all people. I have to admit that after losing a beloved family member to cancer (Glioblastoma) in the last few years, I found it very hard to look at anything to do with cancer related research for quite some time & I always think about those dots or lines on figures as a person.

Now we see why the IDMC advised to stop recruitment early in Her-Vaxx Ph2 for overwhelming efficacy & hence ethical reasons, the short straw as you called it on SOC DTLP .
