As there will not be any franking credit on the 80 cent dividend the only reason for the company to pay it back to shareholders is that the company has no confidence in their own ability to invest that money wisely on new ventures and they feel that the shareholders will be able to invest it better elsewhere.
So if that is the case the current board and CEO are now going to keep getting very well paid for doing what?
Maybe they should just sell the rest of what they have for whatever token amount they can get and pay 100% of all excess money back to the shareholders and then close the company down.
