If you want to take up more than your full entitlement then you just pay for how many total shares you want. You are guaranteed to receive 1/10 th of your holding at the record date and depending on the shortfall, an additional amount of shares that you apply for.Bear in mind that there's a good chance that if there's a high take up of the offer then it may tie up your excess cash until you receive the refund.
