@towie - WKT's focus for Lindi has always been large flake and being a premium supplier.

The return on investment for the large flake sales is a lot higher and hence a better use of shareholder funds.
Is there anything stopping Lindi adding facilities to process the lower sale price material - no but if there is better use for that money (like in Scotland or armarni) then there is no point in going after the battery grade graphite market.
Also long term while there might be increasing demand and a projected shortfall of supply that will drive prices up - the supply will get filled as the higher prices make it financially worth while opening new mines or expanding current small flake mines, there are far more options out there for small flake graphite than there are potential sources for large flake. The result will be a drop in prices again as the supply/demand evens out again - making spending money by WKT less attractive again over the long term.

If we are able to dig the small flake out of the ground and store it for it for a decent number of years - it is almost like harvesting wheat and storing until the price goes up. WKT could always choose in 10 years time when battery graphite has gone up in price, and other WKT projects are happily up and running, to process and sell the stock piles of small flake. But there are so many other better option to pursue for now that small flake sales just aren't on the radar.

I'm not saying it won't ever happen or shouldn't happen, just for now the company has it's eyes on more profitable options.
