I agree that at $19 CDA was sporting a PE somewhere in the 30's - pricing it like a tech stock with operating leverage like a SAAS business and being overly optimistic. Now at $6 with a PE somewhere around 10 the market has looked at the same business with pessimism in its eyes and has gone too far the other way. Overall ASX PE has also contracted a bit I imagine but to me CDA justifies a small premium to the market as it has proven to be well run and is a resilient business with a long future.
New CEO Alf still to be tested but he has a good record and I saw him present for an hour a while back and was impressed with his vision and detailed description of the various parts of the company.
Putting exact target prices forward is for those with better imaginations than me but I think somewhere in the low teens it'd be fairly priced. If you zoom out you could have bought it 6 years ago for 60c so has still done well despite the recent 60 - 70% fall.
