Agree our wildcat (scatter gun) approach has not done us many favours, in hindsight we would have been better served by undertaking a 3D survey of Icewine East in 2015 instead of the later 2D which would have been tax credit supported (& paid by the state promptly before the embargo on purchases by the state hit).
GBP in its original incarnation was led by Ed Duncan who has a strong geological background and who took full advantage of the Alaskan exploration incentives* to 3D and Lidar map their leases, they were in ~3years ahead of us but even so got badly burned when the tax credit scheme fell through in 2016/7 and ultimately resulted in the PANR purchase.
Back in the early days Jimbeaux & myself had a number of conversations regarding GBP's activities, had they been able to continue testing and drilling during the 2016-18 period who knows where they and us may have been today.
