The Prairie Lithium DLE demonstration project successfully showed that lithium could be extracted from Saskatchewan oilfield brines at commercial scale.
The results from this field test resulted in a number of meaningful findings for Prairie Lithium. It proved that the proprietary DLE process developed in house could viably extract lithium from oilfield brines at commercial scale without the use of separation columns, validating earlier lab results and claims in the existing patent application.
Over the course of the 3-month pilot project Prairie Lithium processed a total of 526 m3 of brine, reached a peak field extraction efficiency of 84%.
