Kiwi... a couple of points I gathered from the presentation was at 19:40 when Scott talked about the Pebbly Arkose. He mentioned that they observed a 60-70m Amalgamated Channel Sand Sequence at the top, and a further 20-30m Amalgamated Channel Sand Sequence towards the bottom of the Pebbly Arkose. These were the areas where they had big losses in Mukuyu-1.

At 56:30 SM again refers to the Pebbly Arkose and how it is shaping up to have a high net to gross in these large Gross

My take on the reference to Amalgamated Channel Sands and why SM and others at IVZ may be encouraged by this finding is that it is likely a more continuous sand sequence.

Also, SM made a further observation after 58:50 he talks about the MDT pre-tests and that near the top of the Pebbly Arkose where the sidewall core with fluorescence was taken that they observed from the MDT pre-test that the pressure was 200 psi over a normal water gradient. From this I calculate that there is a possible 600 vertical-ft to an inferred gas/water contact in the Pebbly Arkose.

The Pebbly Arkose may turn out to be the jewel in the crown.



He also mentions that they also observed a slightly higher over balance in the Upper Agawa. It is likely the Upper Agawa has multiple fluid columns, because it is less continuous.
