Think you've answered your own question there. There was most likely an agreement to receive a further $200M at a discount to our current SP, given it will be relatively risk free with the impending positive near term announcements.
I'd imagine it would have been significantly harder to raise $200M quickly if ANN's were released which then boosted our SP. This $200M investment needed to be as risk free as possible for the market institutions.
The bit that confuses me a little is that if we're increasing our cash reserves by $200M, (assume 10% on current MC of $2B), we'd be at a new MC of $2.2B
If we at the same time increase our SOI from say 9B to 10.1B (Aprox $200M/18c), we should still be at a SP of aprox 21c?
To increase our Market Cap by an aprox 10% Cash injection, and increase our SOI by an aprox 10%, we should end up at the same current SP of 21c.
I'll let the smarter ones comment on my logic here in case I'm missing something.
