It is when it does not move the buy or sell depth.

For instance.
Write down the buy depth and sell dept and when the bot goes through check the buy and sell depth, if it does not change it is off market.

So what it means is a broker has arranged a transaction between a buyer and seller where the general market does not participate.
Now in effect they can be selling and buying to a related party, or to themselves in a different account or name, from a private account to a super fund for instance.
And why would they do this at a fraction of a cent even over 300 trades??

I said it has nothing to do with moving the price but can as a result as you seen just 4 shares do at match up on Friday which can effect all sorts of things like charts.
