Where you sit on the climate change denialism to zealotry continuum is frankly irrelevant to the investment case for SLX and nuclear power related stocks more broadly.
The reality is that climate change is a major issue in the minds of voters, which means that politicians are going to act to at least give the impression that they are serious about reducing CO2 emissions. Nuclear power is literally the only sensible low-emission option for baseload electricity, and indeed it is also the only low emission technology that is cost-competitive with coal. The world already has a big pipeline of new reactors slated for the next few years and no way of supplying them all with enough uranium at current prices, and all indications are that the pipeline will only grow from here.
These changes are coming whether climate change is real or it is simply alarmism. However, it would be simply insane for MG to take any position on climate change other than the one that he has taken.
