We call these sorts of investments "speculative" for a reason. You want to 30x, 100x or 1,000x an investment without risks like that, good luck to you. I could spend $60k on a new car and be guaranteed it will only lose value, or keep driving my 20 year old car and put that money in risky investments and definitely be no worse off 10 years from now than if I'd bought the car, but very likely better off. Whenever I invest in specs, though, I say goodbye to the money, just like if I'd bought the car. Everything from there is a bonus.
