That's right.

Different rates in different countries for different services. It's a complete minefield. In some countries, the length of time you're eligible to claim differs. To make matters even worse, as we all know, government legislation can change on a dime. The GST rate could change or the item you can claim gets changed or even the length of time you're able to claim.

Below is a tiny example of what the W2V platform has to decipher before automatically submitting the claim. This is just the tip of the iceberg, there are too many rules & regulations to keep track of.

The AI-powered platform has to recognise the language, from French, Spanish, Romanian to English & then a valid expense has to be claimed. You can't submit an incorrect VAT reclaim form to a government department, it would be considered tax fraud.

What if the receipt uploaded to the platform is damaged in some way? You've spilt coffee on the receipt, for example. If the claimable items on the receipt are partially obscured in some way, the system has to work out what it was. The platform has to try & work out what details were on that receipt before it was damaged.

The amount of record volume over the last few weeks would suggest otherwise.

Also, in some company related news, Amadeus has taken over Voxel. It's proof that some consolidation in the sector is taking place & perhaps W2V could take over another entity or be taken over.
