Hmph.
I've been on this train for almost 8 years now. I used to love going up the front to have a look at the business end and see how things ran. It was all bright and shiny and exciting, things were happening, the future was bright; laid out in front of us like train tracks to paradise.
But these days .... I'm too scared to go up there.
I have this picture in my mind of two motley skeletons staring out the cab at a line disappearing over a cliff ... the bridge is out ... we're travelling really slow, and it's going to take ages to get there ... but that skeletal hand has a really tight grip on the master controller ... we're not going to be able to stop...
