Thank you Zara for identifying another place in the presentation where Core confirms that mining at Finniss remains economic, although I'm pretty sure that wasn't your intention. Most readers of the statement would have skipped over page 2 and read on page 7 that Core is considering there to be 3 key workstreams with various projects under each. The first of these workstreams is Re-commence Operations. This bit of the pack is easy to read but contains proviso's.
The page 2 route is an interesting but different one. Page 2 has a competent Persons Statements clause which is repeated below. Paraphrasing, the material assumptions and technical parameters that underpin the Ore Reserve estimates have not materially changed. This also confirms an ore reserve continues to exist because it would be a material change if it didn't. To be an ore reserve it needs to be economically minable. If its not economically mineable then its not an Ore Reserve. Core have confirmed the basis of the Ore Reserve remains sound and in doing so reconfirmed an economically mineable deposit exists. Is it likely that mining of an economically mineable deposit will occur aka a restart? Yes
"Competent Person Statements
Core confirms that it is not aware of any new information or data that materially affects the information included in previous announcements (as may be cross referenced in the body of this announcement) and that all material assumptions and technical parameters underpinning the Mineral Resource estimates, Ore Reserve estimates, production targets and forecast financial information continue to apply and have not materially changed."
