With heap leach one of the big risks is recovery. I think there are frequently big differences between lab scale testwork and real-world heap recovery. Hence why they are doing the bulk sample pilot plant.
As you pointed out, given the high forecast production cost, if there's a bit of a miss on recovery and on grade from the resource model, then operating costs can blow out quickly.
