They were useless. Mostly do tin mining, never owned a copper mine as far as I know. The ones before them, the Indian group Biyarli, went underground. Everyone in the industry said it was the wrong thing to do. Turned out that call was right. They shipped the concentrate to smelters in India. Operation was a dud. Thus the bad press on Nifty.
Remember, Nifty has produced 760,000 tons of copper over its life. Someone was happy with that. One million still to go. And that's just Nifty.
Don't worry about the buy/sell activity. Lots of traders coming in low and now trading out. Will continue to happen for some time. You see them on this thread all the time. Easy to recognise.
Once the FID is done and finance is in place, they'll move away.
