Spontan presented at National Urology meeting on the weekend to many CLinicians hearing about it for first time . Good level of interest . Two downsides that i mention in the hope LTP peeps monitor here . Presenters said it was hard to get any approved slides/material from LTP in advance . It was also said that it hasnt been easy to become 2nd or 3rd prescriber in major cities ; with LTP slow or difficult in follow up . That’s disappointing if true as it was said that patients are coming in and asking for Spontan by name ! Commercially, sites are not going to refer patients to a rival clinic- instead they start talking up benefits of newer PDE5s like Avanafil ( which wasnt a comparator in the trial ) . Not sure if this is indicative of staff shortage but hope that Marketing and Medical can lift their game to take advantage of early interest .
