You had a chance to nominate yourself as a director to show them how it's done. I have had a big mouth in the past months but put my money where my mouth is and nominated myself. The chair rang me and we discussed my nomination. We talked about my ideas and how realistic those are. In the end she was happy to take my nomination further, but I decided to withdraw as I achieved what I wanted, a meeting with the board / chair.
