While the concept of LPE is great, allowing strata and commercial tenants access to renewable energy, though the upcoming energy transition may vastly reduce the value of the distributed energy resources. FiT may go negative and the cost of electricity has been and foreseeable will be trending down since 2018. With increased bad debt in they system and reduced capacity for customers to pay, a tier 2 or tier 3 retailer may struggle.
