Vodafone rolling out their NBN plan, but hard to understand their reasoning, cheapest plan $10 higher than the $60 price point that is recognised as being significant, and only targeting a few places. Perhaps they want to start slow till they get things sorted out, in the long run they could be a competitor, but they wont be in the short term.

"Vodafone Hutchison Australia's long-awaited plunge into fixed-line internet services will begin this week across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle and Geelong
    ...
Vodafone will launch with plans starting at $70 per month and include modems with 4G mobile capability for up to 30 days, to allow for instant connections while NBN services are organised or lines repaired.
    ...
Vodafone chief executive Inaki Berroeta has always maintained the telco isn't interested in a land grab and wants his company's offer to be different to the rest of the sector."
