It would seem that all parties would benefit (after the merger) by some capex (from the SLR war chest) to improve recovery at Deflector thus both increasing production and reducing AISC for the joint SLR/DRM entity.

On thinking about there may be a problem with using CIL to extract the gold after gravity separation. The problem is that copper can poison the CIL process so it may be more cost effective to use an Ion Exchange process which could avoid these issues. DRM and SLR will be only too aware of the potential problems and will no doubt review processes and conduct tests (a lot of testing was done by CRB for a tailings project in Queensland (Mount Morgan) where copper sulphate was a by product and directly sellable.
