We're coming up to the end of the quarter, half and financial year, so we should get a report towards the end of next month, only about 5 weeks away now, so they're probably waiting for that to give us the updates.

It's much more common for things to run behind schedule than ahead, whether it's how long you estimate it will take to fix the lounge room door frame or a government project or anything in between, so if we don't quite meet the projected date it won't be a big surprise or concern. Everyone should do themselves a favour, take a bit of inspiration from Scotty and add a generous margin on their estimates ensuring they can consistently impress rather than disappoint, but in reality this isn't what happens.

Having said that, if the update says we're only a couple of months away and includes details about how good things will be, we should see a positive reaction; we're seriously undervalued and once getting into operations is a tangibly imminent thing the market should respond. Or, if it doesn't respond until we're actually serving up proof-filled pudding, there will be some buying opportunity in the mean time.

The loss of positive momentum about a month ago and slight retrace over the last few weeks is possibly due in part to people getting nervous about a lack of update as we get closer to the expected completion date, but in reality the company will look a bit silly if they put out an announcement saying 'Yep, we should be making an announcement soon'. It wouldn't hurt if they put out some announcement for anything else at all and included a footnote about progress coming along respectably and a full update coming soon, but DEL management have always demonstrated that they're more interested in focussing on managing operations than announcements. Having said that, the investor hub is there for this reason, and when I've posted questions I've been given answers. Might be worth dropping one if you're curious... come to think of it, I might do so myself.
