Short interest has been down substantially in the last week. Generally speaking, it's pretty common for people to take profits and mitigate risk by selling their shares before results (based on their personal risk tolerances). I doubt people are selling down to get cheap shares either.
Not overly pessimistic or optimistic about results, but I like WGX because it isn't in a retailer + Media 'Rampant speculation' phase, which inflates share price massively, followed by big declines when optimism is damped by results.
I would attribute the majority of upward share price movement to organic tailwinds (Successful merger, good ops news, small but appreciated divi increase a few months back and record gold prices on US rate cut optimism and strong central bank buying).
Hopefully, tomorrow's results will be good, if they aren't, I don't care- I'm still excited for WGX's future!
