While we were concentrating on the Aussie Budget. Biden was introducing new tariffs on Chinese goods into the US. Including a tariff on tungsten. Will be interesting to see the implications on price. We shouldn't forget there is a ban on Chinese tungsten being used in the US Defence industries from 2026.
* Critical minerals: Tariffs for certain critical minerals will increase from 0 to 25% in 2024.
