The Apple watch needs an Apple I-phone which I don't have and if I did, as far as I know they need to be in range of each other? Whatever that range might be.
Maybe these guys should start work on an adult phone watch but until then the grey watch looks smart enough for a big kid like me.

The Apple watch will work at a distance from the phone but only if connected to a wi-fi network. No good for jogging/ bike riding etc.
