There is a gold mine up the road that operates year round so it's not the freeze that is the problem but access. If PXX & Lundin chose to then drilling could continue with helicopter support. But here's the thing, do you as a s/holder, want management spending $400 per metre? I think the hole at Mars was drilled with heli-support. It was a surprise to me as I had not heard any discussion about it. Perhaps I missed it. Maybe Lundin prevailed upon management to find out what was there since it was such a tantalising target.
Who knows where drilling is up to but I'd love to see a couple of 1000m holes at Saturn before the drillers pack up. $800k is not too much if Lundin is commited to the JV and hence costs from next year plus a $2m payment to PXX. It's going to be a long wait until May, 2020!
