If approved and pricing agreed then I don’t think much delay to use. The thing that takes time is the negotiation. Showing cost effectiveness is the aim, easier to do if you have an unequivocal result (eg better survival, better quality of life) from a randomised control trial. Sometimes these agencies base things on what your product is meant to be replacing and if it’s worth paying for , in this case I’d think Oncosil device would be replace radiotherapy so they’ll look carefully at relative costs. if radiotherapy is cheaper to the health system, then OSL device would prob need to be showing its clearly better (efficacy) to justify higher price , but that info isn’t known at mo. These are just general points , as say before OSL might have found some special path to bypass this. But I honestly don’t believe with their current trial data they can command the sort of price I’ve seen thrown around ($25K?).
