Yes, a cost-of-living crisis. People will keep pulling cash out of the ASX completely, or changing from long term holds to doing short term trades for 20% profits along the way, anything to help them get by this difficult period which will not end anytime soon! The media also tricked a lot of people into thinking that covid lockdowns was the best time to buy a home at record property prices. They saw the low interest rates and thought it would last forever. The clever ones knew all that 'free' government liquidity pumped into the economy during the few years of covid was eventually going to cause an inflation crisis resulting in much higher interest rates. When most people have 500k-$1M mortgages, every quarter of a percentage ends up being a huge chunk of their disposable income, especially when everything across the board increases in price (fuel, groceries, insurance, services, shopping etc).

The clever ones knew how it would pan out, knew the government is never in their best interests, the same government officials, celebrities and people in the media forcing the clot shots and lockdowns (lose your job, stay home and protect your friends and family) are now out there telling you to vote yes lol. Luckily most Australians have now woken up to the bs, seen the real science, peer reviewed articles that everything they did made little sense - people no longer listen to the lies in MSM, they get their news sources from on the ground sources and independent media in non-censored platforms, and have learnt to think for themselves and come up with their own conclusions. The irony is that if the government did the voice before Covid played out, it would have been a success.

It certainly has worked for me, I now have good savings, liquidity available and can choose to accumulate my favourite stocks at the lows, when the market is most fearful, but when the bargains are had.
