I think that NOT sharing sales number is the norm. I invest in another company with a similar business plan (hardware + recurring monthly revenue) and I pretty much have no clue how many systems they have sold. I have a general idea because of some hardware orders that have been made public, but others all I know for sure are the numbers in the quarterlies. It's just the way it is done. Buddy is not required to make sales info public and really it doesn't benefit the company of business if they do release the info.
