I have employed many people in hospo over the years.
Many of my better hires clearly have had autism, diagnosed or not, to a greater or lesser degree.
Tunnel vision, completely task focussed, reliable in that respect. This suits some repetitive non customer facing roles in our industry.
Put those same people in a customer role and they struggle.
There is a complete lack of warmth and engagement, but they can pull a beer or deliver a plate of food.

I see the same lack of engagement or empathy w our Chairman in his public presentations to us minions.
He should stick to deal making and leave the public speaking to others.
Not saying I am right and he is wrong, just my opinion.
