Andrew mentioned "20 years" or so since a local's predecessor was hanging off an auger in the hunt for it.

It normally takes me about 3 days to dig up the old results from government mining departments in various states, even when it's computerised.

But going back 20 years..?
A lot of that stuff was on microfiche.
(Most youngsters behind the help desks don't even know what that is.)

If it hasn't been computerised yet by a professional, this could take me a week or two.

But I suck at charting, so research is my thing.

I've even been known to wear a hazmat in some government archives to dig through the rat droppings and pigeon poop.
No joke. In one government records room in Qld, it was in an actual old cellar style dungeon in an old asylum where I had to put in a job slip for a tradie to remove century-old wrist chains from the wall so I could open the oldest filing cabinets of microfiche that had been shoved down there for decades under more recent administrations of various government departments.

But that's what I'll go through to get the documented facts first.
