8% - if the Australian Government were to participate in a CR at 4.8c to obtain an 8% shareholding in BSX and then provide the full finance required for the Ta Khao projects they would both receive that finance back with interest and see their shareholding soar to be worth more than the money they put in for finance long term in my opinion. That would likely mean instantly more than doubling the value of funds invested both in the finance package and the hypothetical CR for the balance sheet.

Vietnam would like to see that in my opinion. ASM are currently looking into possibilities of partnering with Vietnamese state owned companies, at Vietnam's request so I don't believe the Vietnamese Government would have a problem with an 8% shareholding here. It might even make it more appealing considering the way they do business, the way their economy is structured and the developing partnership they have with Australia.

8% would not even nearly amount to nationalisation of this Company and I can't see why there would be any political objections to the Government providing finance for this project and see both the money returned with interest plus gain a profit on it's investment to offset the finance they provide on the balance sheet come budget time. It's a smart move politically IMO.
