I think they progressed the technology past their original concepts but I also think at a certain point they absolutely realised they were way off the mark of developing anything even close to "commercial". Given the end result of EMC (liquidated) and CCE (in administration, teetering on liquidation) it is clear (based in evidence) that senior management team including ex-CEO Ottaviano had little clue as to how to to commercialise anything (let alone an entirely new technology) and even less capability to run a for-profit business.

Ex- CEO Ottaviano (the charismatic forecaster of great success for CCE for the last 10 years - fact) is gone and now they are left with a skeleton crew, Fievez (the guy who lead them nowhere technologically - fact), and a Board that is comprised of people that are personally millions in a hole (fact) and more SH money is a good (and their only) way to carry on (fact).

Totally setting aside the EMC debacle, we still don't know what the hell technology they have (fact), what is good, what has been eliminated, what applications it has and who might buy it (all fact). No numbers, statistics or published conclusions.

In my opinion they should send the technology as it stands to UWA (their PhD students can use it as thesis material) as capital raises appears to be CCEs only material source of revenue remaining! (fact) and that is not good enough for a listed company. That said - the SHs will be the ultimate judge of that.
