If it makes you feel any better I have made the same mistake here and also with a large company I was very much up close and personal with. In that particular case I think the CEO CFO and the Chairman all believed their own hype even firing directors who disagreed, I was at every company meeting. I see some similarities here. Bad judgement from the top. Nothing wrong with the product or the market. Just the management. In the case of the other I was very heavily invested long term. This is not a huge investment for me and I would love to see the story have a happy ending. The potential is there. The management have the dream they just, to date anyway, have not followed through. I think they have the ability to but are they willing to put the work in? I am not sure they need another failure under their belts. You can only run so far in the internet age. Everything stated here about poor performance will be here for years to come. It is rabbit from hat time I think.

I should add I was involved with that other company nearly 20 years before I became a shareholder. Spread your risk a little next time, buy in slowly. I have had much more good than bad from investing.
