I wasn't in Finders for all that long but doubled my money. It should have been more but the Indonesians forced a takeover. So I wasn't really on the development journey, I came in once the operations were up and going. I invested in CYM as a copper project on the basis of the management. They were highly competent at getting Finders set up and producing in a very challenging environment. I don't discount the risks associated with this project but I think the management are up to it and that is evident in the speed with which they are moving towards refurbishing the mine and restarting production under a completely revised plan.

With Covid variants that can pop up anytime and continue to disrupt supply chains, disrupt the labour market and increase costs, then the decision to refurbish rather than "hope" for a late 2023 new plant was an A grade decision. A bird in the hand (or cash cow) is better than one in the bush.
