This could be just a case of semantics....are sold.....will be sold....expect to be sold??
Especially given the chips some or all, (as you've pointed out) are earmarked for the modules which they have made clear are in demand.
ie they know the demand for the modules is there, so by default the first production chips are going in the modules which means they are spoken for....or indirectly sold.....its not a big issue IMO.
Not sure why you are making such a song and dance about it.........company is at a major turning point and if you don't believe in them probably a good idea to get out.
