Clearly the first production run numbers are not precisely known so that makes it a little difficult to run an analysis based on usual product numbers.

What is known is that the AKD1000 chips will be tested as the first step following which:

The second step is that each of the first batch of USB sticks will get an AKD1000 chip reference both Peter van der Made and Anil Mankar statements;

The third step is that each of the modules for plugging in to rasberry pi will get an AKD 1000 chip see above;

Fourthly we know that somewhere in all of this is the AKD500 which if I understood Peter van der Made correctly it is also expected in August (not totally convinced I am correct as to August as the date) and that these chips are going into fridges so I expect these are sold; and

Fifthly, we know from repeated statements from Brainchip as well as Peter van der Made and Anil Mankar chips are going to their engineering partners and my understanding is that these chips have been sold.

Taking the statement that all chips are sold then this statement is correct because the other products that is the USB stick and the plug in modules are not strictly speaking chips.

The above logic of course is hinged on the reliability of the statement by Tony Dawe that all "chips" are sold and when you talk about chips in the semiconductor world it is not interchangeable with the terms USB stick and module.

It of course could be like one of those statements "All Cretans are liars." However this is my logic and allows for all parties to be telling the truth at the end of the day.

Yep a lot of Raspberry Akida modules would generate a nice bit of change

Given they said they are already testing and will do some rigorous testing in August I can see an Akida Raspberry Module hitting Pe Christmas sales for around $US69.95.

I would expect go to market strategy to kick in around October or maybe preorders for limited numbers in September/August.

7,000 for a market size of more than 40 million. Will be interesting what price they hit the secondary market for maybe as Tony said ALL OF THEM PRESOLD
