In context, Tony was clearly talking about pre-sold chips/modules. He said "We ... will have the first production chips in August."
There will be "several thousand" chips (I don't have the quote, but I'm sure that, since you have been punctilious in paying attention to the company's pronouncements, you will recall that statement.).
If you think about it, when he says "They are all sold", a moment's reflection would tell you that BRN will be keeping a bunch for in-house use. So all the ones that are available for sale have been pre-sold.
Well done for seeking clarification from the company. We await with bated breath to hear the company's reponse.
